Position Details:

The Manager Operations, Process Solutions is responsible for achieving successful onboarding of new clients, vendor management, training, and quality solutions for our Output Solutions Center in Fort Worth. This role will establish documented processes which serve as the standard operating processes in all production areas, establish uniformity, and solidify our people, processes, and technology. Additionally, this role will identify trends and seek opportunities to improve or maintain the assigned areas.

Job Responsibilities:

Vendor Management:
• Effective engagement of the contracted Technicians
• Engage other vendors as needed to accomplish our customer service delivery needs
• Evaluate new equipment options which may be available to more effectively service our customers
• Manage business proposals for equipment capitalization
• Assure equipment meets all safety expectations. Actively deploy remediation of safety concerns
• Bring performance statistics to the forefront, include Safety and Quality

Business Process:
• Serve as the Business & Technical process liaison for Inserting and Handwork, Inventory Management, Quality, and Training
• Drive process improvements across the platform in each of these processes
• Support the Business Process owners as needed
• Partner with Industrial Engineering for the deployment of process maps to bring visibility to execution steps needed in each of the business process areas. Consolidate the array of processes such that Inserting has a process map, not several. This approach will be needed in all areas
• Process change deployment and change communication across tiers

Training:
• Training coordination for all OSC departments
• Partner with Operations Manager to deploy the Training Coordinator for the development and strengthening of all Operations training
• Cross-training coordination planning
• Assure the maintenance of data and management tools which measure training progress against plan, including the timely deployment of re-training to maintain competence and certifications
• Build strength among the trainers

Development:
• Understand potential opportunities then be creative in bringing effective and repeatable solutions together on behalf of our customers
• Manage client onboarding needs and serve as the pivotal party bringing all Operations together for defect free deployments

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience

Experience:
• Minimum 5-7 years of production leadership experience, at a supervisor or manager level required
• Driven with the ability to exceed customer expectations
• Strategic planning experience managing large, complex operations in a 24×7×365 environment
• Understanding of contract terms with knowledge of SLAs and OLAs
• Proven capabilities to analyze, assimilate, and translate business needs into solution options that are cost effective and efficient
• Demonstrated ability to assess a situation and quickly formulate the correct solution
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate
• Proven track record as a change manager and adept at building high performance teams while driving efficiencies
• Solid commitment to building trusted collaborative relationships with execution and follow through, with a strong focus on customer service and operational excellence

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Six Sigma & Lean Methodologies
• People skills, negotiation, conflict management and meeting facilitation
• Data analytics—the ability to identify, review, and understand data, including gathering data from various sources, including processes
• Project management—coordinating with internal resources and third-party vendors for project execution within time & budgetary constraints
• Process mapping skills—the ability to Activity model, process map and workflow model/map, including data collection
• Data mining—the ability to take data collected via modeling, process management, and organize it for analysis
• Process re-engineering—the ability to identify current state process gaps, research best practices/optional improvements, and create future state models
• Implementation skills—the ability to take a process change, implement into teams, set up process measurement, measure baseline, and watch for variances for continued improvement
• Strong research skills—ability to research and vet new industry best practices, tools, and methods
• Group collaboration skills—the ability to bring groups for various areas together, collaborate, and gain consensus
• Advanced Excel knowledge
• Visio/BPM flow charting
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language in a business environment
