Champion Brands Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and results oriented Human Resources Assistant to provide direct support to our HR Department. A successful candidate will serve as the initial point of contact for internal and external customers while maintaining confidentiality of all information reviewed or discussed in Human Resources. The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for preparing and updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promotions, and terminations. Explaining company policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees. Ensuring all on-boarding and new hire paperwork is completed and processed.
This position has the potential to be promoted to an HR Generalist role after 6 months of employment!
Focus on consistently meeting and/or exceeding both internal and external customers expectations through building respectful and trusting relationships. Focus on organizational development and improvement of Human Resources practices.
Hiring and Onboarding
Assist the Human Resources Manager with recruiting and hiring efforts including new hire orientation and onboarding process. Partners with hiring managers and new employees to ensure an engaging new employee experience.
Data Integrity & Maintenance
Responsible for maintaining employee digital files through tracking and indexing documents according to HR compliance requirements. Manages all employee change request and personnel actions within the HRIS system.
Professional & Culture Champion
Acts as a role-model for appropriate and professional behavior and supports the mission and values of Champion Brands, Inc. Maintains confidentiality of employees, managers, and Human Resources. Escalates concerning employee matters to management as needed. Assists with employee engagement activities and communications focused on helping Champion Brands, Inc. become an employer of choice.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
Proficient knowledge of computer and how to use technology tools and resources.
Reliable automobile transportation.
1-2 years of Human Resources and/or Administrative Assistance experience
1+ year experience working within Paylocity or comparable HRIS/Payroll system
