Position Description

The AKAR Ventures People team is looking for a senior compensation analyst to administer compensation programs that support our pay philosophy. You’ll get to apply your knowledge to maintain and improve our global pay structures and program design. • Assist the administration of the worldwide compensation programs including; philosophy, executive & sales, base pay, merit, variable pay, equity, comp planning and market analysis
• Provide consulting to support pay management throughout the employee lifecycle
• Maintain global compensation and job structures, providing key stakeholders with tools and guidance to support compensation decisions
• Continually assess the competitiveness of compensation programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries and markets; conduct job analysis to ensure appropriate comp levels are maintained
• Responsible for participation in annual salary surveys, including preparation and submission of all required data elements
• Create, edit, or assist in creating new job descriptions or updating existing job descriptions
• Creates compensation reports and metrics and assists in the administration of annual processes including the salary planning/increase process and annual bonus cycles
• Design and deliver compensation training and employee communications
• Serve as a key liaison with third parties and internal stakeholders (e.g. IT, Payroll) and serve as project management for selected HR initiatives
• Idenitfy and implement process improvements, creative solutions and process changes to continually improve the employee experience
• Very detail-oriented. Ability to design, implement and execute effective processes resulting in accurate data generation and reporting
• Superior project management skills to timely achieve project milestones and objectives
• Flexible and creative problem-solving skills. Decisive and action-oriented. Sets aggressive goals and delivers. Proficient in using tools and reports to track progress and make timely course corrections
• Work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching. You will need to see beyond the data to drive good decision making
• Must be analytical and bright and able to make informed decisions based on experience and sound instincts
• Great at creating complex reports, dashboards, and metrics to support business needs
• Ability to work comfortably under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude; highest professional ethics and confidentiality
• Strong consultative skills and the ability to build solid relationships with internal partners and external providers/vendors

• BA or BS degree in relevant field or equivalent
• 8+ years experience successfully working in a HR organization with direct responsibility for global compensation
• Professional certification in compensation (CCP or other)
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills; expert Excel skills
• Strong understanding of relevant employment laws and regulatory rules
• A great teammate who is passionate about developing and being part of a high functioning team and company; demonstrated experience supporting a great team culture
• No travel required
