We are seeking a Research Audiologist who has experience with designing and running clinical studies. Reporting directly to the Chief Clinical and Science Officer, the Research Audiologist leads a variety of short and long-term research projects that inform product direction. Projects include perceptual experiments, evaluation of prototype technologies, and novel audiological process development. This person will oversee cross-functional projects between the Clinical team and other departments at Eargo. The person in this role will be responsible for the clinical management of study subjects, development, and execution of audiological research initiatives, and the dissemination of knowledge developed through these efforts.

• Develop and manage clinical research processes and procedures
• Ensure thorough documentation of projects at all stages
• Contribute to the development of new research projects and strategies
• Develop study protocols and prepare reports
• Collect and analyze study data
• Recruit and screen appropriate study subjects
• Conduct audiometric testing
• Counsel and support study subjects
• Represent company at scientific and industry conferences
• Prepare IRB submissions
• Assist otologists with exams, device placements/removals, and study case report forms
• Complete study case report forms
• Provide audiology expertise across departments

• Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology
• Current Audiology license, current dispensing license a plus
• 3+ years of clinical experience
• Experience in designing and running clinical studies
• Expertise with speech tests and hearing science
• Experience with audiometric equipment: audiometer, real ear measurement systems, hearing aid test equipment
• Understanding of hearing aid technology and fitting systems
• Knowledge of the audiology research literature
• Proficient in including Excel, Word, Power Point
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
