The New York Times Washington Bureau is in search of an aggressive reporter to cover Congress, with an emphasis on the House of Representatives and breaking news out of the new House Democratic leadership. The reporter must be ready for late votes, long stakeouts, tight deadlines, teamwork and ambitious enterprise stories. The hours and pressures are onerous but you’ll be covering one of the most exciting stories developing in Washington. Previous experience covering Congress is desired. This is a guild position.
