Primary Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade all Windows-based Epic client applications

• Coordinate, implement and set up integration for all Windows-based Epic applications and services, including a small amount of build and configuration on the Epic Operational Database server

• Perform installations, moves, adds, and changes for various technologies, as needed

• Provide technical support (level 2 and 3) and guidance to users through advisory support and publication of documentation

• Coordinate problem resolution with Service Desk and Application Analysts. Work with other Optum technical staff as needed on related projects

• Maintain accurate documentation for all Epic configured devices and associated systems/services consistent with Optum policies

• Follow system-wide server and integration standards, policies, and procedures

• Participate in activities to evaluate new technology developments and applications

• Maintain professional knowledge of current trends and developments in the information technology and healthcare field

• Help analyze, research, debug and modify or recommend modifications to current systems to keep them operating in an efficient and effective manner, conforming to existing department standards

• Assist with maintenance and updates system documentation

• Understands and adheres to all security policies and procedures relating to systems, data, physical data center security and safety

• Identifies and resolves or escalates any issues or violations to management. May assist others in working through security procedures

• Assists other Technical Service teams by providing second and third level support and guidance

• Complies with the Health System's Policies/Procedures protecting patient information and the confidentiality of the information in accordance with the Federal and State regulations

• Participate in other duties as required

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade systems, services, devices and peripherals for Epic applications and services

• Performs both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Epic applications and services such as Hyperspace, Hyperspace Web, Epic Print Service, BLOB services and Interconnect services working within established procedures and with little to no supervision

• Identifies and manages advanced level problems and issues with assigned production systems, documenting and escalating to engineers when appropriate

• Produce and maintain technical documentation on assigned systems. Assists others in documentation and updating client-based systems and services and maintain and accurate inventory of Epic defined devices

• Maintain integrity of Epic device master files as needed to support standard configurations

• Manage complex internal projects including tasks, deadlines, and reporting. May lead small team on various projects

• Provides support to internal and external customers using exceptional customer service standards, advanced technical skills, and timeliness

• Participation in on-call rotation which includes carrying and responding to a pager 7x24 during the on-call period

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree or higher OR 2+ years relevant experience

• 2+ years working in Epic environment as an ECSA

• 2+ years demonstrated working knowledge of server hardware, operating systems installs and system administration

• 2+ years demonstrated working knowledge of desktop hardware, operating systems and peripherals

• 2+ years demonstrated working knowledge of all Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Active Directory

• Epic Client Systems Administrator: Hyperspace

• Epic Client Systems Administrator: BLOB, Business Continuity Access, and Printing

• Epic Client Systems Administrator: Hyperspace Web, Interconnect, and System Pulse

• Epic Client Systems Administrator: MyChart, MyChart Mobile, and EpicCare Link

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $26.15 to $46.63. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $28.85 to $51.30.
