Do you have experience in the manipulation, analysis, and reporting of vast amount of data from multiple sources in support of a variety of business requirements, including state deliverables? Join us as a Senior Report Analyst to manage and manipulate structured data, with a focus on building reporting tools, conducting analysis, performing normalization operations, assuring data quality and recommending innovative solutions to manual processes.


 


This Senior Report Analyst will support and partner with team members and health plan leadership in their focus on clinical processes related to service coordination/case management. This Senior Report Analyst will manage various ongoing reporting needs as well as ad hoc requests regarding Medicaid and related products and programs, including state deliverables. The Senior Report Analyst will create and maintain reporting capabilities and documentation of those processes for the Total Quality Management Program and provide data and summaries necessary for NCQA annual program evaluation data elements reporting.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for designing/developing, programming, maintaining, and publishing operational reports
  • Provides operational analysis utilized for decision making
  • Makes recommendations based on the analysis and provides explanations for reporting results
  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
  • Solves moderately complex problems and conducts moderately complex analyses
  • Schedules and presents data to leadership in meetings
  • Identifies appropriate data sources, report metrics, and tools for providing required information
  • Determines scope of requested work in order to assess resource requirements and create work plans
  • Demonstrates understanding of business terminology and acronyms in order to accurately interpret requests
  • Communicates with external customers and vendors in order to gather information needed to complete reports
  • Identifies appropriate report format to use
  • Uses existing databases and create new databases as needed for reporting purposes
  • Tests and reviews completed reports and associated metrics used in order to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Translates concepts into practice
  • Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues
  • Ensures that report parameters are established consistent with data governance requirements
  • Coaches, provides information, feedback, acts as a resource, and guides others 
  • Develops data solutions to support analyses
  • Performs analysis, interprets results, develops actionable insights and presents recommendations to leadership
  • Partners with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop tools such as dashboards to summarize data for leadership
  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of data requests across various functional areas
  • Tracks pricing and expenditures with letter vendor ensuring charges are correct.
  • Provides back up for the twice weekly data analysis to produce contractually required communication to members
  • Provides weekly census of Health Services department, additions, terminations, changed department and changed reporting structure of employees
  • Provides subject matter expertise (SME) in areas including reporting scope, parameters risk identification, and reporting methodology, and other areas of expertise based on established report analyst techniques
  • Ensures requests are completed on time and in scope
  • Manages vendor and service providers to define reporting parameters and performance expectations
  • Reviews requests and determine resource requirements
  • Collaborates and manages the relationship with applicable stakeholders to identify data goals/requirements/specifications
  • Gathers the appropriate delegates and develop plans to set and track progress
  • Identifies and determine data needs and request and maintain access to necessary reporting sites
  • Ensures that all communications and preparations are planned and executed appropriately
  • Provides regular updates to applicable stakeholders and makes appropriate recommendations/revisions, as needed
  • Meets with CPCs quarterly to review performance and issues in preparation for the quarterly presentations to leadership

Required Qualifications:


  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 5+ years of reporting experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (with data sets) and Access Databases (filters, slicers, pivot tables, formulas, Vlookup, queries)
  • Intermediate proficiency in other MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday core business hours

 


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Experience working in a clinical environment
  • Experience working with Medicaid population
  • MS Office Share Point experience
  • General knowledge of NCQA
  • Experience working with state deliverables

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary/hourly range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Akar Ventures offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
